The river Colne is celebrated by the WRCA and the Association values its rich history of boat building, yachting, fishing and pleasure activities on the water. Originally called the Wivenhoe& Rowhedge Yacht Owners the name was changed in 2023. The river is integral to the communities along it and the WRCA aims to support this connection. Members of the WRCAenjoy benefits of sailing in company, weekend rallies and winter evening events held at the Nottage Institute in Wivenhoe.
